The event served as exchange platform of experiences and as meeting place for researchers, protected area administrations, spatial planners as well as people working in the field of nature conservation and landscape management.
The aim of TransEcoNet was to investigate the structure and history of ecological networks in Central Europe. During the project the functionality of landscape and biodiversity within ecological networks have been analysed and awareness raising measures for ecological networks beyond administrative borders were promoted.
