Modelling potential breeding sites for the Griffon Vulture in the Alps

Within the international ECONNECT project breeding locations for the griffon vulture have been identified in the Alps and their quality assessed. Results show that there is an accumulation of potential breeding sites in the central Alps. Additional aspects that should be included in further models are the distribution of livestock carcases and thermal aspects.
