#alpinechangemaker wanted
An art pavilion on the topic of mass tourism, bivouacs in abandoned barns, a gathering on “Rural Commons”: the first #alpinechangemaker generation also learned from each other’s experiences through the wide array of projects. For Claas Beeser, who wants to create housing solutions for young people in Piedmont/I, the exchange was particularly important: “The central question is not whether something is possible, but how. That’s why I talk to as many people as possible who are different from me, to get different perspectives.” Christina Thanner, project manager at CIPRA International, sums up: “The ACB brings together a wide variety of people, with diverse ideas and areas of expertise.”
The next “Alpine Changemaker Basecamp” will begin with a project week from 2 to 8 July 2022 at BASIS, a social activation hub in Schlanders/I, where motivated young people will have the opportunity to advance their projects for sustainable development in the Alpine region with like-minded people. An international team of coaches from the fields of science, entrepreneurship, regional development, philosophy and art will accompany the participants. Following the Basecamp, a one-year mentoring programme will support selected participants in implementing their projects, which will be presented at the final meeting in July 2023.
Interested people can apply until up 15 May 2022. Further information on how to apply is available here: www.alpinechangemaker.org
