There is for instance a joint venture by six regions, which is organising a youth exchange on a variety of issues across the entire Alpine Arc. Besides raising awareness of climate change the project is also about the Alps as a habitat and an understanding of different cultures. By contrast Naturns/I is looking to motivate its residents to come up with creative approaches by staging an energy-saving competition. And four Italian and French local authorities are joining forces to find sustainable all-year alternatives to winter mass tourism.
45 projects have been submitted for the dynAlp-climate subsidy programme organised by the network of municipalities. The jury selected eight projects from Italy, three from France and Switzerland, two from Germany and Slovenia, and one from Liechtenstein and Austria.
