The EU MOMO project, which focuses on applied research benefiting small and medium-sized companies, was recently unveiled in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Plastic materials for nanotechnology for example are to be developed at the Centre for Technological Innovations in Amaro.
A total of ten partners from six countries are involved in the project. The project is to last three years and is endowed with a budget of €2 million.
In Friuli the competitiveness of companies in mountain regions is to be promoted with the aid of the project. This helps to secure the growth and further development of these regions and enhance the mountain region through the presence of qualified technical staff. Young people in particular are to obtain employment opportunities in the field of technical innovations and research.
