Under the slogan “Better Mobility - Better Cities” the fourth World Congress of the global network Cities for Mobility took place in the City of Stuttgart on July 4-6, 2010. Traffic experts, political decision makers and representatives from business, science and research as well as from civil society came together in Stuttgart to discuss major topics of urban mobility that cities around the world are dealing with. An exciting program with site events and tours provided networking opportunities for participants and an insight in interesting mobility projects in Stuttgart.
The huge variety of participants and countries represented at the congress showed the increasing interest of stakeholder world wide to use this event as a forum to present their expertise and to use the knowledge from best practice examples to implement innovative projects in their cities. The World Congress was structured around the question in which way urban mobility can have an impact on the economic and social development in cities.
