The invited and voluntary papers in these Proceedings were presented at the international Workshop on "Multilingualism and Expert Co-operation in Forest Terminology" (MEXFT'98) held in June 1998 at Kappel am Albis, Switzerland. The papers address issues of forest science terminology, management and dissemination of terminology and co-operative processes in a multilingual environment. Several papers report experiences in the compiling of mono- and bilingual dictionaries. Others descriebe technological developments in presenting and sharing terminologies, especcially on the World Wide Web.
