The pocketbook “Energy and environment indicators” contains more than 80 indicators linked to energy supply, final energy consumption, the energy industry, renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, energy prices and energy based emissions. The indicators are mostly presented as aggregated data calculated on the base of the 15 EU Member States, with longer time series up to 1999 or 2000. A limited number of national data of EU Member States and candidate countries is also presented. The indicators respond to a demand of the EU Energy Council from 1999.
