Intensive utilisation of the Nordkette with its resources and leisure potential shapes both the landscape and life in the city. This striking mountain massif with its simultaneous presence in the townscape is the focus of the vertical project. The exhibition is designed to guide the eye from the public urban space to the mountain chain and the details of the landscape. The mountains form an ideal and real backcloth to illustrate various alternatives for and phases in the development of alpine landscapes. The Nordkette is a striking hallmark of the city and at the same time a key element in the identity of the people who live there.
