Club Arc Alpin makes a stand on climate change, the expansion of fixed rope routes, and motorised offroad traffic
The two policy documents are aimed at protecting the mountain environment, its peace and tranquillity as well as its natural landscape. The policy document on fixed rope routes calls for a moderate, co-ordinated and environmentally compatible development of the mountains.
In its second policy document, which looks at offroad traffic, the CAA expressed its clear opposition to any form of offroad motorised activities away from the official highways and byways of the Alps. It also called for stricter checks and fines.
