With its symbolic ascent, Mountain Wilderness sought to speak out in favour of improving protection for the Mont Blanc range. In nine countries and regions that include various alpine countries, Belgium, Spain and Pakistan the members of Mountain Wilderness are committed to preserving unspoilt mountain regions, raising the awareness of mountain users with regard to their responsibilities, and solving the problems that arise in connection with adventure tourism.
