In our long standing effort to adapt to climate change and in the midst of the current health crisis, the inhabitants of the Alps must reexamine our relationship with the environment and living beings, our modes of governance and our capacities of adaptation, especially in mountain territories. Given the delicate balance of the mountain ecosystems, the Alpine actors cannot ignore the risks surrounding our territories to which we must adapt.
Alpine territories have been in the frontline of climate change, pioneering risk management and energy strategies, among others. This experience and vulnerability must be at the core of the recovery plans that will be developed in the months to come.
Join us for two days to discuss the challenges and needs to lead the way in the fight against climate change in this COVID-19 context, participate in thematic workshops (September 30th), and get acquainted with the actions taken near our venue through field trips (October 1st).
Registrations are now open (limited to 100 participants): register here.
