European mobility week 2020

Aug 18, 2020
The EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK campaign provides the perfect opportunity to present sustainable mobility alternatives to local residents and to explain the challenges that cities and towns are facing. By taking part, towns and cities can showcase the benefits of cleaner transport choices and make progress towards better mobility in Europe.

Local authorities are strongly encouraged to use the week to test new transport measures and get feedback from the public. It is also an excellent opportunity for local stakeholders to get together and discuss the different aspects of mobility and air quality, find innovative solutions to reduce car-use and transport emissions, and test new technologies and planning measures.

This years motto: Zero emission mobility for all

If you’re doing something to promote the idea of sustainable urban mobility, we want to hear about it! By registering your MOBILITYACTION on this website, you can become a part of the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK campaign. Once registered, your steps to promote sustainable urban mobility will be displayed on our list of MOBILITYACTIONS. Whether you’ve decided to cycle to work with your neighbours, or you’re an employer taking concrete action to encourage your employees to use public transport, we’re eager to help you share your success story. As the long as the action you’re doing promotes a behavioural shift towards a more sustainable urban mobility culture and is of a promotional rather than a technical nature (i.e. technical innovations themselves will not be recognised), you’re eligible. For a full list of participation rules, visit the eligibility criteria page.

All you have to do is create a profile and fill in the online form. Tell us about the promotional action you’re organising in your neighbourhood, city, town, school, organisation or company.
