The conference is divided into four blocks: On Wednesday afternoon, our topics are «Frugality without renunciation» and «renovating instead of building new». Experts will explore the question of how frugality in new buildings and renovations can be an opportunity for climate protection. Afterwards, the book «Bauen in den Alpen - Ein Architekturführer zur Klimavernunft» will be launched. Written on the occasion of the anniversary of Constructive Alps, it offers insights into the sustainable architectural landscape of the Alps.

On Thursday morning, the blocks «Living in the future» and «Architecture for the community» will focus on climate protection and quality of life through sustainable use. Experts will discuss new forms of living and will show to what extent buildings that are used for a long time are good for both the climate and the quality of life. The jury president of Constructive Alps, Köbi Gantenbein, will then speak about the future of the architecture prize.

The event will take place online. The contributions to the conference will be translated into German, French, Italian, Slovenian and English. Participation is free of charge. Participants register and receive the participation link and further information in advance.
