AlpineWeek Intermezzo: Youth & Climate

Aug 31, 2020
Like its big sister, the AlpenWoche, which takes place every four years, the AlpenWoche Intermezzo is an international event on sustainable development and related alpine topics, jointly organized by central organizations active throughout the Alps. The city of Nice - located at the end of the Alpine arc - is the host of this year's free event, and offers an exceptional alpine atmosphere.

The Alpine Week Intermezzo 2020 will take place in conjunction with the closing events of the French Presidency of the Alpine Convention and EUSALP, and will provide an ideal opportunity for the various players to meet and exchange ideas.

How do young people shape the future in the Alps?

The living environment and professions that are considered typically "Alpine" today will probably no longer be so tomorrow, mainly due to climate change. The Intermezzo Alpine Week 2020 will focus on what this means for the young generation. How do young people perceive the changes in landscape associated with climate change? In which environment will they live?

Are you a young person, a member of an association, active in an educational institution, a consulting or career development center, a researcher or civil servant, an elected representative or an Alpine citizen? Come to Nice and share your views and experiences with other interested parties to jointly outline answers that will enable young people to be involved in this rapid development of our environment, society and economy.

More information will follow shortly!
