Reset Alpine Tourism
Tourism, as one of the most significant economic sectors and the foundation of life for the people of many Alpine regions, has declined rapidly in the short term during the Corona crisis. At the same time, the effects of the climate crisis are becoming increasingly noticeable.
The project Reset Alpine Tourism makes a critical contribution to the current discourse regarding the future of tourism. It brings together relevant tourism stakeholders to discuss climate protection and sustainable development in tourism. This exchange shall contribute to a change towards sustainable, climate-friendly and resilient tourism in the Alpine Space, supported by holistic oriented financing instruments.
The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU).
Project duration: 2020 - 2021
