ALPINE POWER - Step by step together

Review of Alpine Power and festivities in the Alpine lands

1st July 2012 saw the start of the Alpine Power transalpine trek at the Austrian-Slovenian border. Numerous other borders were crossed, with birthday celebrations taking place in all of the Alpine countries until the trek ended back in Slovenia with a concluding ceremony on 19th October. Contacts with local people and CIPRA members were strengthened or developed and the impressions recorded in a diary. People from near and far joined the walkers to accompany them for part of the way, while others followed them on Facebook.
