60 years of CIPRA

May 14, 2014
CIPRA has been connecting people, projects and organisations for over 60 years across linguistic, cultural, geographical and political borders. In 2012, its anniversary year, CIPRA has again brought together people who are committed to sustainable development in the Alps, with ceremonies being held at its place of establishment, Rottach-Egern in Germany and at the AlpWeek in Valposchiavo, Switzerland; on the Alpine Power trek through the Alps and at various festivities in the Alpine countries. Many of those present took the opportunity to engage with CIPRA representatives, associates and people, to observe examples of good and bad practice, to discuss possible solutions – and to join in the celebrations.
