Dal 18 al 28 marzo 2010 il territorio intorno a Grenoble vivrà a ritmo della Biennale dell'abitare sostenibile. Questo evento di festa e sensibilizzazione offrirà spazi espositivi, conferenze, escursioni e un premio dell'abitare sostenibile.
Nel 2010 la biennale gioca una nuova carta associandosi al salone europeo del legno presso l'Alpexpo. L'insieme sarà un appuntamento d'importanza nazionale che accoglierà città europee che si distinguono in maniera particolare per le loro politiche ambientali.

Escursione e scambio di esperienze sull'edilizia sostenibile per città e comuni. L'obiettivo della manifestazione è visitare tre progetti modello di costruzioni energeticamente efficienti e discutere delle possibilità di attuazione dello standard di casa passiva nei Paesi dei partecipanti. Over 1000 participants from Europe, North- and South Amerika and Asia are expected to attend the 14th International Passive House Conference in Dresden. They will be introduced to the latest developments in energy-efficient architecture. The organizers invite anyone who is involved in energy-efficient construction to submit a paper to the conference. Instructions on the preparation of abstracts are posted on www.passivhaustagung.de.
The submission deadline is 2nd November 2009.

Deltas have a lot to offer. They are close to the sea and inland waterways. Their soils are fertile. They are therefore the base of many large and fast growing cities. But as populations grow, deltas and their cities are becoming more vulnerable. Floods, land subsidence, traffic congestion, air pollution and salt intrusion loom up as common threats. Climate change aggravates these problems.

The conference will be held in Rotterdam, since Rotterdam is at the forefront of climate adaptation: it turns challenges into opportunities and takes integrated measures to create a safer city and region. This strategy will result in a more attractive city to live, recreate, work and invest in.

The overall scope of the conference is planning and investments in times of climate change.

The three main goals of te conference are:
1. exchange of up-to-date top science on climate change and delta planning
2. strengthening of international cooperation between deltas and delta cities
3. exploring and strengthening the links between science, policy and practitioners at international level
