iMONITRAF! Transport Forum

In order to face the challenges of transalpine traffic, Alpine Regions have been cooperating for several years within the iMONITRAF! European project to find sustainable harmonised transport solutions across the Alps.
Beyond the presentation of the traffic modeling activities carried out under the project, this conference will be an opportulity to discuss the avenues explored to promote modal shift, with a particular focus on traffic steering instruments (Alpine crossing exchange and Emissions trading system) in line with the approach of the "Suivi de Zurich".
At the end of the conference, the Alpine Regions will take the commitment to implement a concrete action plan to achieve the goals they have set for 2020 and 2030 to reach a freight transport system respectful of the environment, territories and populations.
