The Swiss Federal Research Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL conducted the project module “Current research trends and future research requirements” on behalf of the organisation Forum Landschaft. This module is part of Forum Landscape’s organisational strategy 2006-2008 which includes the aim of determining the state of research on landscape in Switzerland.
The aim of the module was to answer the following questions:
a. Which are the expected current and future challenges regarding the landscape developments in Switzerland?
b. How is their relevance for action rated?
