The main aim of this project is to develop a methodology and an indicative map for the Pan-European Ecological Network for Western Europe which is broadly supported by various stakeholders in the region covered by the map. A second important aim is providing a bridge between the methods developed so far regarding the assessment of connectivity on the Pan-European level, EU level and national level. As the project aims at the development of a map that for a large part covers the EU consideration needs to be given to the connectivity requirements of the Natura 2000 network and the link between the methodology developed so far for the Pan-European Ecological Network.
