At the occasion fo Kalachakra for World Peace Graz 2002 under the patronage of the Dalai Lama representatives of different indigenous traditions exchanged experiences on the wise use of nature. The variety of strategies is most fascinating. Scientific cognitions are supplemented by shamanic visions of Buryatia, Tibet, Peru and North America, Buddhist ethics and Christian ecology. Regional case studies in the Himalaya and the Alps call for solutions. Best practices as Fritjof Capra´s Ecoliteracy, the concept of Nature parks, Eco-social Economy and Ecosophy are contributions for the promotion of peace in accordance with nature. An ethnological highlight is the vision of the Ash-People in the rainforest of the Amazon by Martin von Hillebrand, winner of the Alternative Nobel Price.
