Rural territory, nature and culture in favour of sustainable tourism

A little known territory with a wealth of biodiversities, landscapes and historical resources, whose tourism within the local economy has so far developed around winter sports at Piancavallo ski station. As part of DYNALP this project builds on the idea that the tourism offer can be expanded to make the most of elements in the territory (above all nature and culture).

Aims:

The main goal of this project is to create a proposal that involves the various specific territorial, environmental and landscape-history features, with a view to tourism that shows consideration for nature and is integrated with the territory and its social and economic situation.

Realization:

Assessment of types of tourism that integrate well with a winter sports resort and can be pursued throughout the year. Special attention will be paid to forms of tourism in contact with nature, such as hiking, or orienteering for which a specific "map" will be prepared, as well as excursions for schools and nature study. Realization of a model to handle conflicts in the tourism sector. Preparation of communications using digital instruments and on paper.
All project phases will be conducted in accordance with the local businesses and inhabitants and coordinated with the other municipalities in the Pordenone area taking part in DYNALP.

Impact:

Economic: differentiating of the tourist offer thanks to low impact tourism, reviving of agricultural and handicraft activities.
Socio-cultural: revitalising of the territory's culture, involvement of the local operators and the population.
Environmental: protection of nature and the landscape.
