Varen Entrance Gate to the Pfyn-Finges Regional Nature ParkEntrance gates / visitor facilities are to be created at the four main access points to the Pfyn Forest as part of DYNALP. The facilities will provide general information on the nature park, showcase the tourist offers available in and around the Nature and Regional Park, provide a meeting point for guided hikes, and offer basic infrastructure such as toilets, a picnic site, etc. Aims:* Creation of visitor facilities at the main access points to the Regional Nature Park* Presentation of the idea of a Regional Nature Park - special spatial conditions, sustainable development objective, requirement of particular user behaviour * Possibility of direct retail sales for local agricultural produce * Information on other tourist offers around the Regional Nature Park (hotels, spa and leisure facilities, events, etc.) Realization:" Define the type of entrance gate (key theme for each municipality);" Varen entrance gate: optimise the location at the SBB gatehouse in co-operation with environmental associations; " Process co-ordination with submission of plans and execution of the gateways " Define the terms & conditions for operation/approval of sales of local produce under the Pfyn label Impact:Visitor guidance and information for the Pfyn-Finges Nature ParkLocation:VarenInvolved:LER (Lebens- und Erlebnisraum Pfyn-Finges), Municipality of VarenFinancing:Costs of between €40,000 and €50,000 are anticipated for the planning and preparation work.Amount pledged at present by the Municipality for planning and preparation work: €5,000.
