The 2nd Workshop on Climate Change Impacts on Water/Land and Adaptation Strategies in the Tibet-Himalayan Region

Topics:
1) Evidence of environmental changes in the region in terms of water resources, land cover, ecosystem and biodiversities under the impacts of global warming and human activity
2) Consequences of climate change in this region, such as downstream impacts, extreme events and natural disasters
3) Identification of successful adaptation strategies that accommodate environmental change and sustainable development across the Tibet-Himalayan region
4) Setting up case studies and pilot projects (identify typical sites in India, China, Nepal and Bangladesh, collaborating with ICIMOD transects study)
5) Strengthen the regional collaborations
