Protected areas, social acceptance and environmental conflicts

16 - 18 september 2009

The international symposium on "Protected areas, social acceptance and environmental conflicts" aims to bring together researchers working in the field of geography as well as in the social sciences (history, sociology, political science, economics, ethnology, public law, etc.) who focus especially on protected natural areas.
For many years the exclusive domain of naturalists, protected areas today are widely investigated by the human science disciplines. The goal of this symposium is to present the most recent advances and the avenues of research likely to be explored in the future.
