Integrating Biodiversity into Investment Decisions

Convened by Fauna & Flora International, UNEP Finance Initiative and the Brazilian business school FGV; this side-event will review the progress made by the finance sector since COP 8. Key areas for discussion are i) UNEP FI's CEO briefing which sets out the business case for financial insitutions to address biodiversity and ecosystem services in their financial products ii) the Natural Value Initiative (NVI) - which aims to create a tool for the finance sector to evaluate biodiversity and ecosystem services-related investment risks and opportunities in the food, beverage and tobacco sector
