The President of the International Ski Federation (FIS), Gian-Franco Kasper, also argued against including women in these events, stating that the hard impact at landing could cause the uterus to rupture. He was subsequently forced to dissociate himself from that statement. The FIS is now campaigning to restrain the 150 active women ski jumpers from 17 nations to compete.
We have a suggestion for an amicable settlement: introduce the new "equality marathon" discipline at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London/UK by way of compensation - an event that should be for everyone…
