Ethical banking is a non profit service based on ethical principles. We believe that Sustainable and Socially Responsible Investments can change the world we live in.We encourage people to invest their funds in a socially responsible manner so that they can receive a double return: on the one hand a high social return and on the other hand a modest financial return. We want to give people the chance to build a better future.

Responsibility
Our main aim is to give credit to people and to finance deserving projects that promote the cultural, social and ecological development of our society. We trust people and therefore we support them providing credit as an instrument to reach out for a better future. In addition to this we want to actively involve the local population making them aware of the vast variety of initiatives that can be carried out together. "Coming together is a beginning;keeping together is progress;working together is success" Taylor. Cooperation is the key for a sustainable development. The total transparency of our Funds represents the most important guarantee for our investors, who can also choose -within a maximum roof- their interest rate.In order to prevent the surrounding environment from being harmed, we encourage investment in the following sectors: ERNEWABLE SOURCES OF ENERGY, FAIR TRADE,BIOLOGICAL AGRICOLTURE AND RURAL SOLIDARITY FUNDS. In the near future we are planning to provide more services
The project "Ernewable Sources of Energy" is the result of a protracted collaboration with the Environmental Associations, the Province, Dachverband für Natur und Umweltschutz, Alpenverein Southtirol, Forum for Energy in AFB, the Group for the Environmental Protection in Val Venosta, ARCHE B (ecological architects) and a lot of artisans. The certificates of deposit are offered to consumers in order to sustain an innovative environmental-friendly concept of energy supply. We have financed private citizens, small and medium size enterprises engaged in farming, commercial trade and services. Particularly, we have supported them by the installation of photovoltaic arrays, biogas and geothermal structures, like the vegetable oil central heating in Wipptal. We also collaborate with the Bäurlicher Notstandsfonds in helping the farmers and their families, who are in difficulties due to fires, accidents and death of the owner of the farm, for instance.
Since 2000, Ethical Banking has attracted more and more consumers. This represents for us a positive result and also allow us to think about even greater projects. Until now we have registred a positive trend and we have collected about 15 Mio euro.
Assessment criteria for the Jury’s decision
Firstly, thanks to the installation of photovoltaic arrays it has been possible to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions and the costs linked to energy supply. Technology has progressed significantly, and the energy payback time of a modern photovoltaic module is typically from 1 to 4 years depending on the type and where it is used. With a typical lifetime of 20 to 30 years, this means that modern solar cells are net energy producers, i.e they generate much more energy over their lifetime than the energy expended in producing them. Furthermore we have financed projects regarding biological agriculture, based on the extensive use of natural processes in exchange of the partial or total substitution of chemical fertilisers.
The financed projects have contributed to attenuate the negative consequences of climate change in terms of reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and chemical fertilisers.

Although great results have been achieved, it is a long process and it will take time to make people aware that their contribuition is necessary. We have created the basis for a strong collaboration with the local population in order to protect our surrounding environment. We have a common wish and we want to carry it out all together. |

Ethical banking has led to a positive effect on the economy. |

We aim for high social impact! More and more consumers are interested in our certificates of deposit.
The "idea" behind Ethical Banking, based on ethical principles, should be exported in all other sectors. People should feel the responsibility of their actions and start doing something in order to better protect the surrounding environment.
We collaborate with the local and provincial Environmental Associations.
Further information
We offer innovotative products in terms of sustainability and credibility. We have decided to make a step backwards in order to rebuild a direct link between investors and savers. The central feature of our certificates of deposit is the total transparency. "HELP TO HELP YOURSELVES" the concept behind our products is based on ethical principles and this represents our most innovative change.
about 15 Mio. Euro
THE POWER OF AN IDEA CAN CHANGE THE WORLD!We have a lot of ideas and we also need your support in order to make them reality.Firstly,we want to offer to our consumers new types of certificates of deposit.Secondly,we want to organise conventions and events in order to promote our initiatives gaining public consense. Finally, we are looking for rewarding the collaboration with reserving students!
