It is the first passive house kindergarten and public building in all of Slovenia. An energetic sanitation was conducted in the building.

The aim is to achieve passive standard and to stimulate the use of renewable resources and energy efficient use to reduce the pollution of the environment. Consecutively costs will decrease and living quality will improve. Also working conditions will improve both for children and for the employed.

In September 2008 the first building was opened. Sanitation: only the old walls and the floor were left from the building. The walls got which got 30 cm of heat isolation. Ceiling is isolated with 40 cm of cellulose flakes. Renovation includes all sorts of sanitation (roof, windows, floors, frontage, instalations), new heat pump, ventilation system with recuperation, set up of photovoltaic collectors.

The kindergarten building will be renovated to become a passive house.
