It is a modern system of distric heating using biomass operating since 2002. The power of the cauldron is of 2.5 MW and the system covers 90% of the energy needs for hot sanitary water of the town. There's also 4.0 MW cauldron using fuel oil for cold peaks in winter which also serves as a reserve.

Establishment of company, fundraising, building up a system

District system using biomass for heating is working. Right now it connects 114 buildings, three of them are of bigger scale.

Administration (local, regional, national)

ENERGETIKA PREDDVOR, company, established in partnership of Municipality Preddvor and Thermoglobal d.o.o., Bled. As of now, company is 100 % municipality owned.
