Transport Coupon is the result of an agreement between Institutions, professional and trade unions working in the area of Bolzano South to manage mobility problems together. Through this initiative the Municipality of Bolzano gave workers of companies or institution with seat in Bolzano South a free yearly subscription to the Integrated Transport System.

To relieve the congestion of city traffic, incentive commuters to use public transportation, to promote a model of sustainable mobility between companies and workers .
For all of 2005 the workers of companies or institutions with seat in Bolzano South had the right to a free mobility card issued by the Municipality of Bolzano. The card could be used to buy subscriptions or tickets with fare reductions. Companies could ask the Municipality for cards for their employees.
A total of 1626 cards have been issued that allowed people to travel with favourable fares on the urban and extra-urban net . This led to a reduction in the use of private cars that overcrowd city traffic particularly in peak hours, .

Planning Office of the Bolzano’s Municipality. The initiative is included in the so-called "Patto per la mobilità (mobility agreement)" involving companies and institutions with the seat in the Southern area of the town.
