The region is very densely-wooded and has an old tradition in using wood. Yet in recent years the use of wood as energy source has decreased because of the more comfortable use of gas or oil. Now the use of wood is being promoted again - as pellets and woodchips. Local forestry and agriculture could supply the local market.

There are several small projects related to the keywords above, however there is no overall concept. Therefore the aim is to create one and to further develop the concept in acknowlegde of the existing beginnings. Another aim is the reduction of C02 emissions.
