Alpine Pearls is the result of 2 EU projects based on each other (Alps Mobility and Alps Mobility II - Alpine Pearls) which have been started and coordinated on the initiative of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Agriculture and Forestry, Environment and Water Management (EU programme INTERREG II C and III B, Alpine Space).

The excellent collaboration of project partners from Austria, Germany and Italy in "Alps Mobility" and consequently with new partners from France and Switzerland in "Alps Mobility II - Alpine Pearls" was the reason behind the results and success now being continued and professionalized with an umbrella organisation, ALPINE PEARLS, across the Alps.
