Abstract
This report contains the results of the mid-term evaluation of the Austrian LEADER+ programme which has been commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management. The evaluation refers to the 23 common evaluation questions established by the European Commission. The first round of evaluation took place in 2003, the update in 2005. The evaluation method contained three elements: (1) the analysis of monitoring data, (2) an inquiry of the managers of all 56 Local Action Groups (LAG) and (3) a participatory approach: Discussion in a LEADER+ Core Group with LAG managers, administrators of the federal provinces and representatives of the national Managing Authority.
