- Abstract
- This paper presents the results of a research project that took place in a marginal area of Switzerland (Valposchiavo). The aim of the project was to bring ICT and e-learning to the region in order to reconnect it to the rest of the world.
The analysis of the results identifies some success indicators that are transferable to other communities that risk social, economical and linguistic marginalization. Education (basis, professional and continuous) represent one of the most important indicators resulting from the analysis.
A learning community defined by the upcoming of new types of teaching personnel and the creation of new frame conditions (presence and distance, space and time, formal and informal).
