Abstract
The region Cinque Terre is a national parc and a world cultural heritage. The habitants developed innovative integrated concepts to combine tourism, regional identity and endogenous resources like viniculture, rural settlements and local economy. Cinque Terre is a very famous tourism place in Italy. The innovative concepts contain e.g. regional "ticket" with different service functions like using bus and railway, quality signs for environmentally conscious host, godparenthood vineyard, holiday academies for cultural landscape conservation. Therefore, tourism is not a danger but it is like the base for conservation of regional identity. The author thinks that some of the innovative projects in Cinque Terre could be realised also in other regions, like e.g. saving cultural landscape by adapting properties, hand out certificates for little tourism cooperations. But the Cinque Terre is a very special case, and thats why it is not easy to transfer the whole integrated concepts to an other region. Cinque Terre profits form a very high touristy attraction, from a innovative elite and from a very pronounced regional awareness. The identification from the inhabitants with the region is very high.
