Abstract
Documented presentation of the problems peculiar to the whole alpine row, from both an antropic and an environmental perspective, and of its different portions, analysed on a national scale. Of course, the book is a bit old, but still of great interest to comprehend the recent dynamics of the alpine area; very significant even the thematic cartography, even though the scale is very little.
