Abstract

The volume is a collection of essays and it is divided in two parts: the first part, theoretical and methodological, analyses the problem of sustainability of development and the instruments now available, which can be used to value it; the second part presents some study cases in which different methods of evaluation have been experimented. The methodology presented is very useful for planning and also for urban contexts and it gives the possibility to assess both natural and human capital.
