Abstract

The volume collects the most important results of the research commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to the research society Nomisma. The volume deals with a survey and an assessment of the main public policies for Italian mountains (both national and European). It is a very useful document in order to comprehend the logics that guided the often fragmentary policies in favour of the italian mountain regions at the beginning of the Nineties, then reviewed through the law n. 97/1994. This kind of synthesis is missing today and it could be useful realize it.
