- The decline of public life hits not only the cities but also the villages. The manual describes potenials and instruments to change and enhance the public sphere in local communities' contexts. It works out the possibilities to improve local self-governance beyound the existing democratic participative instruments known in Switzerland. It carefully describes different projects stages and measures which can be adopted to different social and economical situations and contxts. Therefore, the guide provides entry points, approaches and instruments to widen the local scope and room for manoeuvre regarding social and econoimical development.
