Abstract
The study presents a long-term monitoring concept for vegetation ecological parameter in the Hohe Tauern National Park/Austria for a period of 100 years. The "spatial heart" of the concept are the so-called "moni-topes" (derived from monitoring and biotopes), which have the adequate size for the proper functioning of ecological standard processes (eg. primary succession).
