Abstract

The scope of the vade-mecum "Research in the Natural Park Grebenzen" (Styria/Austria) is to set up a concept serving as an adequate frame in which co-ordinated research and monitoring can proceed. The study is embedded into a comprehensive participation process (eg. workshops) stressing the bottom-up approach and tries to draw up the "what for´s - research objectives", the "what´s - research contents" and the "how´s - research structures and frames". The emphasise is on nature conservation and environmental benefits of the local agriculture.
