Abstract

The idea of this report is based on an assembly of the MAB-National-Committee (Man and Biosphere). Objective was to develop the network of the biosphere reserves taking into account the Sevilla-strategy. In this project a metadatabase was created, the Sevilla-strategy was evaluated on the basis of the Austrian Biosphere Reserves and the results of the scientific research in biosphere reserves were gathered.
