- Short description
- Since 2001, the "Communauté de communes du pays des ecrins" has developped different shuttle services during the summer period : 7 "thematical shuttels", accompanied by guides and 4 "destination shuttles". The use of the shuttels has increased each year : in 2004 the number of passengers transported was equivalent to that of 500 cars. A link has been organised between the shuttle buses and trains from Marseille. Visitors can plan day trips to the Ecrins region, without using personal cars.
- Project executive
- The "Communauté de communes du pays des écrins" is a cluster of 9 rural and mountainous communities. One of it's missions is transport. This territory has 6 000 inhabitants. Several communities are included in the Ecrins National Parc, and offer sites and activities which attract visitors from other regions and cities. Most of the tourists come with individual cars.
