REDI (Réseau écologique départemental de l’Isère) : the departmental ecological network to take into account the biological corridors

- REDI is a system of analysis of landscape operation making possible to understand the natural stakes and to plan actions coordinated in a sustainable context of development. The establishment of a departmental ecological network as well meets political aims as with practical objectives of management of the biological diversity of the own territory. From the methodological point of view. Since 2000, the Isère Department Council initiated a reflexion concerted in favour of a taking into account of an ecological project of network. This work mobilizes the whole of the actors and users of space in order to engage a search for common solutions. The 380 "points conflicts" relates to problems of collisions between roe-deers, wild boars and motorists, on the crushing of amphibians by the vehicles, on the point passage for fish and on the connections between mountainous solid masses. Work is carried out after validation of the principal actors concerned with wild fauna: hunters but also farmers and naturalists. The taking into account of their proposals contributes to the relevance and the feasibility of the proposals. The followed step is based on a methodology developed and tested in Switzerland. It was adapted to Isere to leave information available and by association as of launching the reflexion, in 1999, of around fifty of partners within a steering committee: associations of naturalists, actors and managers of the regional planning. It is also a manner of integrating these new concerns into the realization of the infrastructures (road, railway...). The problems of the biological corridors are integrated little by little and political secondary roads, in particular in the regulation or highway designs of believed on the upstream of the Isere river and document of planning. The CG engaged besides in a plan of resolution of the points of conflicts, in particular on the level of the connections between three solid masses of Isere: Belledonne, Chartreuse and Vercors. He is coordinator and to put of work of the actions for the maintenance of corridors (by land acquisition) and of restoration by creating passages at fauna. Its will is to create in a context of which gallops urbanization of the infrastructures specific to the faunistic migrations, as well as roads and motorways.
