- Short description
- The Wiener Platz, a square in Munich that had been closed for motorised transit, has always been an important square in the quarter but has always been ugly and unsightly. The Wiener Platz was desolated, was used as a parking-lot - a pleasant stay was not possible. The expansion of the market place shipwrecked due to the resistence of the people living there. The district's administration department proposed a mediation-like procedure in a period of two days(!). Members of the district's administration, politicians and residents participated. After 2 days (round tables,...) a consensus on the square's structuring was reached: a pedestrian zone with parking zones and the market with a new accessibility.
