- Skating land Switzerland consists of national and regional skating routes through rural and alpine regions of Switzerland. Skating land Switzerland composes together with Bicycling land, Hiking land and Canoeing land one of the four HPM (Human Power Mobility) projects for the promotion of exercise and sport. The four HPM projects are signalled on uniform principles and communicated through the internet and prints in partnership with the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and Switzerland Tourism.

- The foundation "Veloland Schweiz" was established 1995 as a non-profit organisation. In line with a "Public Private Partnership", the aim of the foundation is the development of sustainable leisure and tourism offerings in the field of "Human Powered Mobility", especially sports and public transport.
- Objectives
- Planning and realisation of a national skating route system through Switzerland, consisting of two national routes and ten route highlights. Expansion of several regional skating routes and integration into the national skating route system. Linking and completing of existing isolated skating services to national skating services. Elaboration of a uniform route signalisation for Skating land Switzerland (similar to Bicycling land Switzerland). Elaboration of a uniform and customer-friendly communication of Skating land Switzerland.
