Short description
With the program NewRide, Swiss cantons and communities promote in co-operation with Swiss Energy (BfE) and other federal offices the use of energy efficient vehicles. In a first step, the program aims at the shift from cars and motor bikes to electric powered bicycles and scooters. NewRide complements the promotion of 'Human Powered Mobility' (HPM) and public transport. In the first three years of its operation around 4300 e-bikes and scooters were sold.
